Hey,
I’m Talya! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, families and young adults. I work with a strength-based approach tailored to the unique needs of each client. I often work with families to support sibling dynamics, the parent/child relationship and communication challenges. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety/worries, grief/loss and life transitions. I draw on my understanding of the family system, attachment theory, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, music and play therapy, mindfulness practices and the mind-body connection to help support client goals and their journey toward growth and healing. I also have extensive experience supporting individuals through significant grief and support adults through loss of a spouse, child or close friend.
I completed my undergraduate studies in Biopsychology, Cognition and Neuroscience as well as Community Action and Social Change at the University of Michigan and received my MSW from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) with a concentration in working with children, youth and families. I taught Music Psychology at the University of Michigan and love integrating music therapy into my practice when appropriate.
Let’s connect and work toward your goals.
